Terms of use
These preliminary terms describe the Phase 1 DealOcean service. By using the service, you agree to use it responsibly and follow these terms.
Preliminary content. No legal compliance certification is claimed.
1. What the service provides
DealOcean is a free listing collection and bundle-request tool. It displays seller-provided links and external images and forwards confirmed buyer requests. We are not the seller, merchant of record, payment provider, escrow agent, shipping provider, or party to your marketplace transaction.
A request, acceptance, or status update on DealOcean does not itself create a payment or stock reservation. Buyer and seller must independently agree all transaction terms through their original marketplace.
2. Accounts and accurate listings
Provide accurate account and listing information, protect your password, and keep contact information current. Email verification is required before publishing. Do not impersonate others, evade suspensions, or submit spam.
Only list items you have authority to sell. Describe condition, price, and availability honestly, and confirm availability regularly. Comply with applicable laws and the rules of the original marketplace.
3. Links, images, and content
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the text, links, and image URLs you submit. Do not use private, infringing, or misleading content. By submitting listing text, you permit DealOcean to display it as part of the service.
Images load directly from external hosts. We do not store or re-host marketplace image bytes. Third-party websites and listings may change, disappear, or have separate terms and privacy practices.
4. Prohibited use and moderation
Follow our Prohibited Items policy. Do not facilitate fraud, unlawful sales, harassment, security attacks, automated scraping of the service, or interference with other users. Reports may be reviewed and listings hidden or accounts suspended.
Moderation does not mean every item or seller has been inspected, authenticated, or endorsed. A verified email indicates email control, not identity verification or a guarantee of trustworthiness.
5. Availability, changes, and disputes
We aim to provide a useful service but cannot guarantee continuous availability, accurate third-party content, successful transactions, or delivery of every message. We may update or discontinue features and revise these terms with an updated notice.
Transaction disputes should be raised with the other party and the original marketplace. Any limitation of liability, governing law, dispute process, consumer rights, and legal contact details require professional legal review before commercial launch. Nothing here intends to remove rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
